Upper Eyelid Surgery

An upper eyelid surgery will restore a youthful eye contour and eliminate excess skin that is partially covering your upper lashes. If you are looking for a more open and rejuvenated appearance of the upper lids, this surgery is well-suited for you.

To perform an upper blepharoplasty, Dr. Koltz will create a small incision within the natural crease just above the eye. Through this incision, he will remove the excess tissue, redistribute the fat pockets, and reposition the underlying muscles to restore a refreshed upper eyelid appearance. If excess upper lid skin is obstructing the vision, this procedure will let you open your eyes fully.

Lower Eyelid Surgery

Under eye bags and puffiness in the lower lids can occur even at a relatively younger age if the herniated fat cells get deposited below the eyes. Skin laxity with age will make these eye bags more conspicuous. Moreover, fine lines and wrinkles in the lower lids can take away the focus from other areas of your face, and make you look older than you really are. In this surgery, he will place an incision on the lower eyelid’s external edge, just under the lower lashes, or sometimes within the lower lids. Through the incision, he will redistribute or remove the excess fat to restore a natural under eye contour. He may also remove loose skin and tighten the lower eyelid muscles to create a naturally youthful looking eye appearance.
