Revitalizing Your Skin With Precision Cooling

While intense lasers and exfoliators can greatly transform the complexion, sometimes your skin needs a less aggressive treatment to achieve the right reset. Our Kryofacial and Kryo Kool treatments, also known as Glacial Gloss and Glacial Glide, use controlled cryotherapy to reduce inflammation, improve circulation, and enhance your skin’s appearance.

What Is Cryotherapy?

Cryotherapy is a type of skin treatment that uses carefully controlled cooling energy, typically in the form of freezing cold vapors, to stimulate the skin and underlying tissues. Many patients receive cryotherapy as part of migraine and sinus relief, giving this treatment both medical and aesthetic benefits. Our Kryofacial and Kryo Kool procedures help refresh your complexion without invasive surgery or intense, aggressive exfoliation.

Cryotherapy can help achieve the following results:

  • Reduced puffiness and inflammation
  • Improved skin tone and brightness
  • Tightened pores
  • Increased circulation to the face

What to Expect From Your Kryofacial and Kryo Kool

A Detailed Skin Assessment

Your journey at pēkomd® will begin with a private consultation with one of our aesthetic specialists. There, you’ll discuss your aesthetic goals, concerns, and medical history, and your esthetician will evaluate your skin type, tone, texture, and overall health to determine whether cryotherapy is right for you.

Treating Your Skin

To start your treatment, your esthetician will carefully cleanse the skin to ensure a clean, consistent skin surface before using the cryotherapy device. Depending on your skin’s health, they may also perform extractions or use serums to enhance your results.

Your Cooling Kryofacial

Your Kryofacial, or Glacial Gloss, treatment will use a cutting-edge device that applies controlled cold air directly to the face. This process tightens the skin and reduces inflammation, helping smooth away puffiness and increase blood flow to the face.

Elevating Your Treatment with Kyro Kool

Kyro Kool, or Glacial Glide, is often used as an add-on treatment in a standard facial. Here, your esthetician will run an advanced cooling device over your skin for just a few minutes, increasing the absorption of your facial products and smoothing away puffiness and inflammation.

No-Downtime Recovery That Suits Your Schedule

Recovery after a Kryofacial or Kryo Kool treatment typically does not include any traditional downtime, allowing you to get back to your day with no interruptions. You may notice a mild flush immediately after your treatment, but this should resolve within a few hours. Your skin may feel cool to the touch or slightly tighter than normal for the rest of the day. After your procedure, you’ll head home with a list of aftercare instructions from our aesthetic team, which will include the following items:

  • Skin care and hygiene recommendations
  • Sun exposure and protection protocols
  • Hydration guidelines

Most of our Ohio patients return to light activity, including driving, desk work, and gentle movement, the same day as their procedure. You should avoid strenuous activities for at least a week to avoid flushing the face during recovery.

Instant, Bright Results

The final results of your Kyrofacial or Kryo Kool treatment will be visible immediately after your session. Many patients report a smoother, brighter, and more refreshed complexion right away, with further enhancements developing over the following weeks.
