    FaceliftFacelift

Aging effects, gravity, environmental exposure, and genetics can take a toll on your face, resulting in the appearance of wrinkles, thinning mid-face, loose neck folds, and lower face jowls. Facelift surgery from board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Koltz can reverse these effects and help restore your youthful, vibrant facial appearance.

With a custom facelift plastic surgery in Toledo, OH with Dr. Koltz, you will not only look the younger version of yourself, but also be naturally attractive, energetic, and self-confident. You may also choose a facelift in your younger years to prevent the onset of deeper wrinkles, sagging facial tissue, and loss of facial volume.

    How does Facelift Work?

Facelift is the single most effective cosmetic procedure that can take years off your face and virtually turn the clock back in subtle, natural-looking ways. It will smooth your facial skin, tighten the underlying muscles, and restore a youthful contour without altering your natural facial integrity. Dr. Koltz will help you achieve the following twin goals with facelift surgery.

    • Tighten Loose Facial Skin: Facelift works best when you want to tighten loose facial skin that has begun to sag. Dr. Koltz will remove the excess skin to reduce the jowly appearance, repair the drooping skin in the mid and upper face, and eliminate the turkey wattles.
    • Enhance the Facial Contour: Your surgeon will tighten the underlying facial muscles and rearrange the connective tissue and fat to restore a long-lasting youthful configuration of your face. Correction beyond the superficial facial layers will reduce tissue tension and ensure more sustainable results.

    Traditional Facelift Surgery

A full traditional facelift is ideally suited when you want deeper and lasting correction of the aging effects in your face and neck. To perform this surgery, Dr. Koltz will create an incision right behind your hairline to keep it discreet. The incision begins around the front side of the ears and near the temples, hidden in the natural creases.

Through the incision, your surgeon will eliminate loose skin, redistribute excess fat, and tighten the underlying muscle and tissue. The goal of a standard facelift is to smooth the facial skin, remove jowling, correct the droopy skin below the chin, and create a youthful and attractive face and neck contour.

    Partial or Mini Facelift Surgery

If the sagging and jowling in your face are relatively mild, Dr. Koltz may recommend a mini facelift surgery for you. This less invasive plastic surgery procedure will involve shorter incisions, which are placed around the ears and/or discreetly within the hairline above the ears.

Through the incisions, your surgeon will lift the structural mid-face tissue to refine your jawline, erase the jowling and restore a rejuvenated facial appearance. Depending on your custom surgery plan, a mini facelift may sometimes be performed using only local anesthesia and IV sedation.

Facelift is Not Just for Women

While rhytidectomy or facelift surgery continues to be one of the most popular procedures among women, more men are now seeking facelift to restore a youthful-looking face and get rid of the signs of facial aging. Advancing surgical techniques, as well as non-surgical innovations, have also made it easier for people in their 50s or 60s to choose full or partial facelift to look and feel younger.
